Giants bounce back from previous night defeat.
Surrey Scorchers 78-105 Manchester Giants (26-25, 42-61, 62-80)
Manchester Giants bounced back from Saturday’s defeat with another convincing road win at Surrey Scorchers.
Danny Byrne’s side pick up their sixth league win, while the Scorchers drop to 3-12 as they were unable to back up their first win of 2019 on New Year’s Day.

Turning point – Taylor had all of his 15 points in the opening quarter as Surrey led after 10 minutes, but the visitors powered ahead in the second to open up a 19-point advantage by the half. The Scorchers got back to within nine before a 9-0 close from the Giants and they eased to victory.
Key stat – The Giants dominated the battle on the boards (36-57) and shot an efficient 56% overall from the field as they asserted control in the contest.
Game hero(es) – Butler had 24 of his game-high 30 points in the first half for the Giants, whilst also adding 12 rebounds. Clayton also posted a double-double with 18 points and 18 boards with Granic adding 22 points.
