It’s already the new year and you don’t have to wait long for basketball action as we have one of the biggest weeks of basketball so far with nine huge games.

SURREY SCORCHERS V MANCHESTER GIANTS

Manchester Giants came narrowly close to picking up their first Championship win on Sunday when they fell to Worcester Wolves by just two points. They’ll get another chance on New Years Day when they meet Surrey Scorchers, who are looking for their third win in a row.

LEICESTER RIDERS V WORCESTER WOLVES

Competition: BBL Cup Semi-Final (2nd Leg)

The heat is on for both Leicester Riders and Worcester Wolves come Friday, as both teams meet in the 2nd Leg of their BBL Cup Semi-Final to determine who will make the 2020 BBL Cup Final on January 26. Leicester Riders have the 1st Leg advantage, having secure a 3-point win over the Wolfpack. Will those three points be the difference maker on Friday?

PLYMOUTH RAIDERS V B. BRAUN SHEFFIELD SHARKS

Plymouth Raiders’ start in the BBL Championship has been rather bumpy, so they’ll be hoping their start in the BBL Trophy will be different when they meet B. Braun Sheffield Sharks in the First Round on Friday.

NEWCASTLE EAGLES V DUNFERMLINE REIGN

It’s been three years since the Newcastle Eagles last made a BBL Trophy Final, so they’ll be hoping to kickstart their journey to the Emirates Arena in Glasgow on Friday when they meet Soho Wealth SBC team Dunfermline Reign in the First Round.

Last year’s runners-up London Lions will be hoping to replicate, and better, their run in the BBL Trophy last season. The capital side made it all the way to the final against London rivals London City Royals where they were seeking to pick up their second trophy of the season. Unfortunately they ended up falling to their rivals and coming runners-up. Will they be able to kickstart their journey to another Trophy Final when they meet Team Solent Kestrels on Saturday?

MANCHESTER GIANTS V WORTHING THUNDER

Worthing Thunder surprised many in the BBL Trophy last season when they defeated Surrey Scorchers by six points in the First Round and gave the eventual Trophy champions London City Royals a run for their money in the Quarter Finals also. Will Worthing be able to replicate their success from last season, if not better it?

RADISSON RED GLASGOW ROCKS V BASKETBALL WALES

The Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks almost made the BBL Trophy Final last year, making it to the Semi-Finals before being knocked out by champions London City Royals.
