Bristol Flyers scored a home win over Glasgow Rocks for the first time in the BBL Championship, at the sixth attempt, beating them 74-71 at home on Saturday.
They were led by Rohndell Goodwin, while welcoming Leslee Smith back into the line-up, for a third straight victory that takes them to 4-2 in the league, while condemning Rocks to a third defeat in four.

Turning point – After Rocks had put on a third quarter run to take a strong lead, Flyers turned the game on its head with a 13-0 surge early in the fourth quarter, going ahead at 58-56 on Goodwin’s three-pointer with five minutes to play. Rocks remained within one shot, but the game was settled when Smith hit a triple of his own heading into the final minute.
Key stat – Flyers held Rocks scoreless from the field for six fourth quarter minutes, while themselves shooting 9/14 in that decisive run.
