The win takes the Riders to 17-4 as they claim the head-to-head over Newcastle, who drop to 15-8 with their title hopes dented.

Turning point – After an even first half, Newcastle poured in 25 points in the third to open up a five-point lead ahead of the final 10 minutes. However, it was a different story in the fourth as the Riders went on a 20-4 run to establish a double-digit advantage with four big threes hit in the pivotal spell as the hosts took the win.
Key stat – The Eagles out-rebounded their opponents and had more second chance opportunities, but were held to just 13 points in the final quarter with Leicester hitting half of their 10 triples in the fourth.
Game hero(es) – Hampton led the way with a game-high 22 points in the win for the Riders as all five starters hit double figures. Holder went 6 of 9 for his 16 points and also added five rebounds along with five assists.
