Riders end Giants Play-Offs hopes.

Leicester Riders extended the BBL Championship title race another day, whilst ending Manchester Giants’ hopes of making the benecos BBL Play-Offs.
The Giants conclude their regular season on 14-19 – unable to make the top eight – with the Riders improving to 23-8 to lock up a top-two finish, though London Lions remain one result from the title.

Turning point – The Giants came out strong in the first half and were up seven heading into the interval, but the Riders stormed ahead in the third and were able to keep the hosts at bay in the final period. Willie Clayton collected 17 boards to set a new BBL season rebounding record before fouling out late on.
Key stat – Leicester finished 2 of 16 from 3-point range, but their defence held strong at the other end, holding the Giants to just 29 points in the second half.
Game hero(es) – Holder top scored with 18 points and came up with 13 rebounds for a double-double along with five steals in a strong display, backed up by three other starters in double figures with a strong collective effort on defence.
