Raiders one win away from benecos Play-Offs.

Plymouth Raiders took a step closer to making the benecos BBL Play-Offs after defeating their South-West rivals, Bristol Flyers, on Sunday.
Paul James’ side join DBL Sharks Sheffield on 16-16 with a win in their final game enough to guarantee qualification, while the Flyers drop outside of the top eight at 14-17.

Turning point – The Flyers led by 11 in the first half, but Plymouth battled back to set up an enthralling finish with huge plays at both ends and overtime ensued. The lead continued to change hands until Jarvelainen’s go-ahead drive put the home side ahead and they closed out the win.
Key stat – Both sides scored over 20 points from the foul line and struggled from 3-point range, while Plymouth benefited from 20 points off of their opponents’ turnovers.
Game hero(es) – Nicholas grew in influence as the game progressed and finished with an impressive 25 points and 13 rebounds in the full 45 minutes. Jarvelainen followed with 22 points including a crucial late score as well as collecting 11 rebounds.
