6-8 Dec: What’s coming up in the BBL this weekend?

With the BBL Cup nearing its finale in January, things are about to tip off as an eight-game weekend will open the 33rd BBL Championship season.

BRISTOL FLYERS V B. BRAUN SHEFFIELD SHARKS

B. Braun Sheffield Sharks won’t have to wait long before they can seek revenge against Bristol Flyers for knocking them out of the BBL Cup last Sunday, as the two teams will clash again on Friday, this time in the BBL Championship.

LEICESTER RIDERS V PLYMOUTH RAIDERS

Date: Friday 6 December 2019

Venue: Morningside Arena
Competition: BBL Championship

Leicester Riders commenced the start of their BBL Cup campaign by going on a 3-0 winning streak and will be hoping to kickstart the BBL Championship in a similar fashion as they meet Plymouth Raiders on Friday.

WORCESTER WOLVES V SURREY SCORCHERS

Competition: BBL Championship

The last time both Worcester Wolves and Surrey Scorchers met each other, the game was decided on just one point in favour of the Scorchers. There’s no doubt that Friday’s game will be as equally dramatic as the previous meeting.

It’s fair to say the London City Royals were dominant in the BBL Cup Group Stages, going 8-2 and picking up a 6-0 winning streak when the season opened. It’s no doubt they’ll be wanting to replicate that streak for the Championship and will be hoping to commence it on Saturday when they meet Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks.
