BBL Team of the Week #21

This week, the BBL Team of the Week is led by last year’s Playoff Final MVP, Trey Moore, who returned to these shores late this season, now featuring for Everton Tigers. The American hit a massive 31 points in 33:36 of action in the Tigers win over Marshall MK Lions last weekend, as well as dishing out 14 assists and grabbing 3 steals. His three point shooting was at 75%, whilst he nailed 6/6 free throws, and shot 8/13 from the floor.

He is joined by British guard James Jones, who scored 27 points in the same game, on 5/6 field goal shooting, and 4/6 from behind the arc. The Manchester-born former Guildford Heat player, also got his team mates involved, as he handed out 7 assists.

BBL veteran Rob Yanders, of Glasgow Rocks, earned his place this week thanks to his 35 point haul against Cheshire Jets, as the Rocks sneaked it 70-75. The former Sheffield Shark nailed 7/10 from three point range, 4/6 from inside the arc, and a perfect 6/6 from the charity stripe.

This week’s inside pair are Andrew Sullivan and Kadiri Richard. Team GB Captain Sullivan made his return to the Eagles last week, following the departure of GB team mate, Flinder Boyd. The 6’8’’ Forward marked his return to his adopted home with a 25 point, 10 rebound display against Marshall MK Lions. He also nailed an impressive 4/6 from downtown in 29:49 of playing time.

Richard, who has had a solid impact at Worthing Thunder all season long, takes the Centre spot this week, thanks to scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 boards in the Thunder’s win over PAWS London Capital. The American, who also holds a Liberian passport, was also sharp on the defensive end, with 5 steals to his name.
