BBL Team of the Week #28

As the BBL Championship regular season draws to an exciting climax and we enter the Play-offs , this week's top performers were Rod Middleton (Worcester Wolves) and Trey Moore (Everton Tigers). The former had 32 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists, shot 6/9 from the field and 8/9 from the free throw line, and also knocked down four three pointers in a forty minute display, as the Wolves overcame Guildford Heat 88-102 at Guildford Spectrum.

Moore, league-wide MVP last season as a Newcastle Eagle, continued his effective return to the league after joining Everton mid-season, as he poured in a huge double-double of 25 points and 13 assists, as well as contributing 4 rebounds and 4 steals to the Tigers' cause – beating PAWS London Capital. The American shot 7/9 from open play, 2/2 from the charity stripe and an astounding 75% from behind the arc in 35:22 of playing time.

This week's Forward spots go to Airwaves Plymouth Raiders' Terry Horton and Michael Tuck, of the Sheffield Sharks. Horton recorded 24 points, on 12/17 floor shooting, as well as pulling down 7 rebounds in just 28:19 on court as the Raiders too overcame PAWS London Capital. Tuck meanwhile, excelled past his 'Mr. Reliable' tag for the Sharks in their win over the Raiders, as the British passport holding forward shot 10/15 from open play, and 2/3 from the free throw line on his way to 25 points. He was also one rebound off a double-double, with 9 boards to his name.

Finally, Horton is joined by Raiders team mate, Matthew Hilleary this week, as the American/Irish Centre scored 21 points, on 8/11 field goal shooting, and 50% from three point land. He also pulled down 8 rebounds, and grabbed 3 steals, also in the Raiders' win over the Capital.
