BBL Team of the Week #6

BBL stalwart Rob Yanders, who began his career in the league back in 2002 with the Sheffield Sharks, is the player stealing the headlines in this week's Team of the Week. The Milwaukee native racked up 30 points, on 8/11 three points shooting as well as dishing out 5 assists in his side's win over PAWS London Capital last weekend.

The second guard in this week's team is Tack Minor of the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders, and I'm sure both Riders and Rocks fans will be eagerly awaiting the match up between him and Yanders. Minor matched his fellow American in terms of points on the board, and handed out a massive 14 assists for a double-double in his side's victory over the Guildford Heat on Saturday evening.

He makes his fourth appearance in the Team of the Week so far this season, and is joined by teammate Jason Johnson, who has made it for the third time himself. The 6'8'' Forward had 26 points and 12 rebounds in the game against the Heat, but the next day, the Riders went down against the Worcester Wolves, 113-111. The star of the show was the other forward in this week's team Harry Disy. The Frenchman put on a show of 30 points, on 13/17 field goal shooting and 4/7 free throw shooting in 29 minutes of action to snatch the other Forward spot.

Finally, the Airwaves Plymouth Raiders got themselves off the mark in style against a rampant Newcastle Eagles team, as the Raiders triumphed 96- 95 in overtime against the Tyneside outfit. This sees Matt Hilleary of the Raiders make his first appearance in the Team of the Week, at the Centre position. He had an influential double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds whilst playing the entire game.
