England Senior Men Roster Announced for Summer Programme
A 17-player roster has been announced by England Senior Men head coach Paul James heading into this summer's international competitions.
Despite cancellation of the 1st FIBA Commonwealth Championship for Men that was scheduled for August in Bangalore, England Basketball remains committed to a programme for Senior Men with a view to improving international competitiveness as part of the British Basketball Towards 2016 strategy.
The roster includes a host of young English talent with varying degrees of international experience in national league, national teams and university competitions.
Paul James said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the most talented English players who have either excelled at Under 20 level or are on the fringes of making the GB squad. There is no substitute for playing in international competition and exposing these players to competition of this type can only be good for English and British basketball."
The 11-game summer programme begins on June 26/27 at the University of Worcester when England host Scotland for two games. The Senior Men take on basketball powerhouses Lithuania for back to back games the following weekend and then travel to tournaments in France and Northern Ireland later this summer.
The England squad is outlined below along with details of their 2010 summer season programme, including links to follow the Live Stats for the games against Scotland on June 26/27.
