Five games took place over the weekend and the latest lineup features two members of the Royals’ Trophy winning squad.
Jalan McCloud (Bristol Flyers)
A second appearance on the season for McCloud after helping lead the Flyers back to winning ways against their South-West rivals, Plymouth Raiders. The American rookie posted 21 points and also handed out 10 assists in the 95-79 home victory to start the weekend.
Tayo Ogedengbe (Surrey Scorchers)
Ogedengbe produced a captain’s display to lead the Scorchers to a win on the road after firing in 33 points in Bristol. He scored 18 of those in the first quarter to set the tone for Surrey and makes a return to the lineup for the first time since the third week of the season.
Ashley Hamilton (London City Royals)
The Trophy Final MVP. Hamilton stepped up in the big moments to lead the Royals to their first BBL title in their debut campaign with the GB international finishing with an impressive 25 points, 14 rebounds and three assists to take the MVP award.
Victor Moses (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle)
Moses makes the starting lineup for the sixth time this season after helping lead Newcastle to their fourth consecutive home win. The American forward put up 25 points on 11 of 17 shooting, whilst completing a double-double with 10 rebounds as the Eagles overcame Glasgow.
Matthew Bryan-Amaning (London City Royals)
A strong candidate for the MVP award before being pipped by his team-mate, Hamilton as MBA filled the stat-sheet with 26 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four blocks in the Trophy win to add to his title collection in Glasgow.
