There were some impressive performances over the weekend as the benecos BBL Play-Offs got underway.
Rahmon Fletcher (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle)
A near triple-double effort led the Eagles to a First Leg victory on the road as Fletcher posted 26 points along with nine rebounds and 10 assists in the 89-94 victory. However, they missed out on a place in the Semi-Finals after suffering a nine-point home loss.
Chris Alexander (DBL Sharks Sheffield)
Alexander played a major role in the Sharks’ Second Leg triumph in Newcastle with a 28-point haul including a perfect 9 of 9 from the free throw line. The American was 9 of 12 from the field and also added six boards and seven assists as Sheffield won 93-102 to advance on aggregate.
Donte Nicholas (Plymouth Raiders)
A familiar name in the lineup this season, Nicholas cemented his place by helping the Raiders knock out London Lions with an impressive Second Leg success. Nicholas finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds with five assists in 38 minutes as his side won 72-86 to go through by eight on aggregate.
Tim Williams (Leicester Riders)
Williams did not miss in the Riders’ First Leg victory with a perfect 9/9 shooting in his 20-point display. The American then followed that up with 22 points in the home win in the Second Leg to help his side book their spot in the Semi-Finals.
Matthew Bryan-Amaning (London City Royals)
Bryan-Amaning had a huge game in the First Leg for the Royals with 24 points off the bench in their decisive 15-point win. MBA was 10 of 13 from the floor and added eight boards along with three blocks in an influential display at both ends of the floor.
