BBL All-Star Five – Week 6

This week’s lineup features last season’s MVP and an impressive debut performance from a returning player to the league.

Justin Robinson (London Lions)

The reigning league MVP secures his first appearance in the lineup this season after leading the Lions to victory on the road as they moved into top spot. Robinson top scored with 22 points including 4 of 6 shooting from downtown and also added six rebounds and three assists.

JR Holder (Leicester Riders)

A strong defensive display helped the Riders stay unbeaten in the league and Holder impressed at both ends in the victory against rivals, Newcastle. The American finished with 19 points along with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals to play a key role in the success.

Dirk Williams (DBL Sharks Sheffield)

Williams makes another appearance after leading the Sharks to the first of two road wins, on Friday night. The high-flying wing scored a team-high 22 points in a 22-point win in Worcester, whilst adding four rebounds and four steals to secure his spot in the lineup.

Fred Thomas (Bristol Flyers)

The American forward becomes the first Flyers representative in the weekly lineup this season, but that reflects their overall team performances in a strong start. Thomas fired in 27 points on 10 of 15 shooting in Bristol’s first-ever league victory over Newcastle and also added seven rebounds.

Rashad Hassan (Plymouth Raiders)

An impressive debut for the former Riders and Lions forward after Hassan netted 27 points to lead Plymouth to a comeback victory away in Glasgow. The two-time BBL Team of the Year member was a handful in the paint and also collected eight rebounds to go with two assists, three steals and three blocks.
