Our line-up this week includes a player who has achieved the relative rarity of three straight appearances in our fantastic five.
Tyler Bernardini (Leicester Riders)
Even for the Riders’ captain, his current rich vein of form is quite something. His third consecutive berth as one of our starters came off the back of Riders edging Sharks in that double-overtime thriller live on Freesports. The guard finished with a brilliant haul of 34 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists.
Malcolm Riley (Cheshire Phoenix)
The Phoenix guard is another player who is on fire – as last month’s MVP accolade at the BBL Cup Final would testify. His latest outstanding display came on Tyneside where Phoenix beat the Eagles again, with Riley harvesting a terrific 26 points from 75% floor-shooting – as well as 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
Earl Brown (Glasgow Rocks)
The vibrant Brown helped Rocks to bounce straight back from their Saturday night reverse at Bristol by beating Plymouth at the Pavilions. He was able to accumulate an eye-catching double-double of 13 points and 16 rebounds, also handing out 5 assists in what was a comfortable win for the Scottish side.
Trayvon Palmer (Worcester Wolves)
While Worcester were unable to punch a ticket to the BBL Trophy Final, they did at least manage to improve their placing in the BBL Championship as they claimed a road win at London Lions. Palmer brought the noise at the Copper Box with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds in addition to 5 assists.
David Kadiri (Manchester Giants)
It was a rare win for Manchester, but certainly an enjoyable one as Kadiri led the way live on BBC Sport against Leeds. He was too hot to handle for the Force and finished with a near double-double of 17 points and 9 rebounds, with his efficient line rounded off with 2 assists and zero turnovers.
Off the bench – Chris Alexander (DBL Sharks Sheffield), Jordan Davis (Bristol Flyers), Brandon Peel (London Lions), Mike Tuck (DBL Sharks Sheffield), Mackey McKnight (DBL Sharks Sheffield), Orlan Jackman (Cheshire Phoenix), Kieron Achara (Glasgow Rocks).
