BBL on TV: Force looking to move off bottom

Manchester Giants battle Leeds Force on BBC, while Leicester Riders visit DBL Sharks Sheffield on FreeSports with both games taking place on Friday night.

Manchester Giants v Leeds Force

Summary:  The head-to-head is on the line this Friday night with Leeds looking to move off the bottom of the table having not won since beating Manchester in November. Both teams have made changes in recent weeks to strengthen their squads.


“As a unit we’re growing each day and we’re having a very physical week of practice in preparation for the match up against the Giants,” Leeds’ Jamelle Davis.

“We’re ready to play on the big stage in front of the BBC cameras. It’s going to be very exciting.”

DBL Sharks Sheffield v Leicester Riders

Details: Friday 09 February 2018, 7:30pm, EIS Sheffield, BBL Championship

Summary: Sheffield saw their run of four straight wins end in Devon last week, while Leicester were able to increase their lead at the top. The Riders have won their last five league games against the Sharks, who will have to re-focus following their Trophy Semi-Final opener.


“We have all the talent to be the best team in the BBL – just have to make it happen on the day,” Sharks captain, Mike Tuck. “Beating Leicester will prove that to the league.”
