Plymouth Raiders have not beaten Leicester Riders in any competition since 2012, but Paul James’ side head into the tie off the back of an impressive aggregate victory over the league champions, London Lions.

The Raiders bounced back from a six-point home loss with a clinical display at the Copper Box Arena to advance to the last four in their first post-season appearance in six years.

Leicester battled past Cheshire Phoenix in both legs to continue the defence of their Play-Off title having prevailed at The O2 Arena in the season finale for two years running.

Former Rider, Rashad Hassan led the league in scoring during the regular season, while three-time Molten BBL Player of the Month Donte Nicholas recorded the only two triple-doubles. Conner Washington and Jamell Anderson both made it off the bench in the Molten BBL British Team of the Year and add to the strength in depth for the second seeds which has been a factor of their prolific success in recent years.

QUOTES: “Facing the Riders is going to be no easy task for us. We just have to play the way we have been playing consistently for 40 minutes in both legs and control what we control.

“The chance of going to the Finals will be a massive achievement for the club and we have an opportunity at hand to do so.” – Raiders guard, Denzel Ubiaro.

“We’ve been playing some great basketball lately so I’m confident in us. Plymouth are definitely a dangerous squad so we’ll need to come together as a unit like we do in crucial moments – it’s gonna be a great Semi-Final matchup.

“As defending champions from last season, it would be a great way to finish off the season with a chance to compete in the final game of the season at The O2 Arena.

“The vibe is always bumping and it would be really cool to have another Championship in the bag with this Riders squad,” –Conner Washington, Riders guard.

Last time they met: Raiders 87-90 Riders (Championship, February 2019)
