To mark the start of a new era in the club’s history, the Plymouth Raiders are delighted to unveil new branding and a new website.
Club owner Richard Mollard said: “Ross (Mackenzie) and I have thought long and hard about the way we want to drive this club forward, and at the forefront of our thinking was a fresh interpretation of our club branding.
“To do this we enlisted the help of Troy Woodhouse at Gammaray Creative, and after a number of brainstorming sessions we gave Troy a brief to develop a brand that reflected the fast pace and excitement of the sport, but at the same time paying tribute to the club’s long history and family values.
“The Fox has been a part of the club logo from the very first season in 1983, so this was obviously going to play a starring role. The new bold, sharp lettering we’ve introduced for the ‘Raiders’ text is in fact a reference to the club’s original logo.
“Many of us who have grown up with the club think of that text when we picture the words Raiders, and with the additional of the 83 in the corner, we feel this creates the perfect marriage of the club’s heritage and the new beginnings we are working to create since taking over the club.”
Alongside a new logo and visual identity comes a new club website, developed by the team at Purple Motion, which brings the new brand to life.
Lee Nathan from Purple Motion said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Plymouth Raiders to help redesign the site and create the brand guideline, it was a great opportunity to showcase our talents. We’ve taken the brand a new way and we hope it embraces perfectly the new direction the club is moving in. It’s an exciting time, and we can’t wait to continue to build our relationship moving forward.”
