Glasgow Rocks have re-signed captain Jonny Bunyan for the 11th consecutive year.
The 29-year-old guard is no stranger to the Rocks faithful after completing his 10th season at Rocks during 2020-21 and indeed achieved a career-high 26 points back in March in a win over the Manchester Giants.
The Scottish club will also be staging a testimonial game for Bunyan later this season.
“It was crucial to bring back Jonny, our captain,” said Coach Gareth Murray. “He knows the culture of the club inside and out and is someone I know I can rely on in the dressing room.
“We all know what he’s capable of on the court, but it’s just as vital to have someone like him who brings the team together and keeps everyone focused off the court.
“With his testimonial being announced today also, I hope that everyone will attend what will be a event and show your appreciation to him for his long and successful career at the Rocks.”
Jonny is the eighth signing of the season after player-coach Murray also re-signed Boban Jacdonmi, Fraser Malcolm, and Ali Fraser, and signed Americans Jaycee Hillsman, Jordan Johnson, Elijah Minnie and Jordan Harris.
