Ahead of tomorrow’s BBL Play-Off Final, we get the thoughts of three coaches from around the league.
Creon Raftopoulos – Surrey Scorchers:
“It’s a tough game to call – the two best teams in the league this season have made it.
“For the Riders, it’s about containing Justin Robinson because he influences the game in many ways.
“Keys to victory for the Lions is they have to play at their tempo and limit the Riders’ 3-point field goal makes.
“It should be a great final and really good for the league. I think it will be decided by less than five points, either way.”
Darryl Wood – Glasgow Rocks:
“Riders are a team that have shown unbelievable consistency throughout the year, and London found a run of form at a crucial time of the year – it’s all set to be a great Final.
“I think they key matchup is how Riders deal with [Justin] Robinson. They have a number of athletes that they could mix it up with, but he runs the show for London.
“I think Riders’ Championship pedigree will see them grind out a five-point victory.”
Danny Byrne – Manchester Giants:
“I think it’s going to be a great Final and a great spectacle for the BBL.
“London are the team that finished the season the strongest, but Leicester have been there so many times before. It’s definitely a tough one to call.
“London have [Brandon] Peel, [Cory] Dixon and [Justin] Robinson who are very dangerous, while Leicester have the likes of [JR] Holder, [Tyler] Bernardini and [Eric]Robertson.
“It’s going to be a tight exciting game, but I think Leicester will edge it.”
