Force land Swiss forward Nzege

Leeds Force are delighted to announce the signing of forward, Michel-Ofik Nzege.

The 6ft 8in player recently graduated from East Carolina in the AAC in NCAA Division I, where he averaged 5.4 points and 3.8 rebounds in 16 minutes of action per game across his college career.

Nzege, also nicknamed ‘Ziggy’, has represented the Swiss national team at Under 18 level, where he averaged 8.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game during the 2010 U18 Division B European Championship in Israel.

Leeds Force Head Coach, Danny Nelson, is excited to have Nzege on board and stated: “We are happy to add Michel to our roster, he is a versatile and mobile player who will contribute to our team across many areas.

” Michel is a competitive player with a bright future ahead of himself and he will fit nicely into our team culture.”

The club are working hard to obtain his international clearance in time for this weekend’s away double header with a trip to Sheffield on Friday to take on the Sharks, before the longest trip of the season to Plymouth on Sunday to face the Raiders.

Nzege will make his home debut against Surrey Scorchers on Friday 13th October at the Carnegie Sports Arena. Tickets for that game are available through the club website,
