Plymouth Raiders are sad to announce that Gavin Love has resigned from his position as head coach of the club.
Coach Love said: “It is with a heavy heart that this weekend I have resigned as head coach of the Plymouth Raiders.
“I have been offered an opportunity that I simply could not refuse, one that at this moment in time is best for my family and I.
“There has been much work and preparation already carried out for the coming season and the Plymouth Raiders are in a great position moving forward. Next season will be a fantastic one for the club and I wish Ross, Richard and everyone at the Club all the success in the world.
“I also wish to thank all the incredible Plymouth fans and sponsors who throughout this past season were simply superb.”
The Raiders Directors added: “We’re all obviously disappointed at Gavin’s departure, but understand and support his reasons.
“He’s worked extremely hard under very difficult circumstances this year and knowing how passionate he remains about the club we appreciate what a difficult decision this was for him.
“He leaves with our blessing, we wish him all the best and we look forward to continuing to follow his career in Europe.”
The club will now prioritise the appointment of a new head coach, and hope to have someone in place by the end of June.
