The SAMG Verve Scottish Rocks kept their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals of the BBL Trophy thanks to a 70-90 victory over the Everton Tigers at the Greenbank Academy on Friday night.

The Rocks led for the majority of the game, taking a 36-44 lead into the locker rooms at the half.

The second half saw the Tigers take the lead midway through the third quarter, but the Rocks held the Tigers scoreless in the final three minutes of the period to take a 48-74 lead into the final stanza.

The Rocks held off a resilent Tigers revival in the final ten minutes and held on for the all-important victory.

Maurice Hampton led all scorers in the game with 22 points for the Rocks, while Calvin Davis led the Tigers scoring with 20.
