High-scoring Eagles set the pace

Esh Group Eagles Newcastle reached the century mark for the third time in the 2013-14 British Basketball League (BBL) campaign, celebrating another victory, alongside Leicester Riders, Plymouth University Raiders and Durham Wildcats, who also defeated their opponents on Sunday evening.

It was already the fourth win of the season for Newcastle, as they defeated Manchester Giants 112-98, led by 32 points from Malik Cooke. Eagles improved to a 4-1 record, which puts them second in the league standings.

Elsewhere, Leicester Riders took a big 78-43 road victory against Cheshire Phoenix behind a great performance from Andrew Sullivan, who scored 19 points.

After an impressive third quarter, Plymouth University Raiders defeated Glasgow Rocks 89-73 in Emirates Arena, while Durham Wildcats had no problems against Surrey United, winning 100-79.
