- One Health Sharks Sheffield lift this season's BBL Trophy after beating Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders 71-69 in the final.

The BBL Trophy is one of the much-heralded peripheral competitions in British basketball, and has been running for as long as the BBL with a fascinating twenty-six year history.
Last season saw a tense game played out over two legs, with the Newcastle Eagles narrowly beating Marjon Plymouth Raiders 184-177 on aggregate.
The 12 BBL clubs, together with City of Edinburgh Kings, Essex Leopards, Reading Rockets and Worthing Thunder will compete in a knockout competition. The first two rounds will be one-off games before the semi-finals take place over two legs. The final will take place on Saturday 9 March 2013 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
