Lions get first win under Macaulay while bottom three struggle

It was a tough day for the bottom three in the BBL on a hectic Sunday of league action as Manchester Giants, Leeds Force and Plymouth Raiders all fell to losses.

Raiders were undone by Cheshire Phoenix as Raheem May-Thompson and Malcolm Riley shared 48 points for the visitors at the Pavilions in an 83-70 triumph.

Leeds Force lost 83-91 at home to Bristol Flyers who put their foot down hard in the latter stages behind 24 points from Rohndell Goodwin.

Manchester Giants endured a tough evening at the Emirates Arena as they were sunk 110-82 by Glasgow Rocks, with Alasdair Fraser lighting it up with 28 points.

Meanwhile there was a first win back at the helm of London Lions for Vince Macaulay as his side moved back into the top 4 of the standings by beating DBL Sharks Sheffield 81-73 thanks mainly to double-doubles by both Brandon Peel and Jack Isenbarger.
