Lions to compete in Essex Classic tournament

London Lions’ fans will get their first chance to see their new-look roster when Vince Macaulay’s side compete in Leopards’ inaugural Essex Classic tournament at the Brentwood Centre this weekend.

The Big Cats will host the Lions along with two sides from the US; Vipers from Illinois and Team USA Select.

Having finished runners-up in both the BBL Championship and Play-Offs last season as well as winning the inaugural British All-Stars Championship at The O2, Lions will look to add the Classic title to their trophy cabinet.

The action starts on Saturday 8 September with a FREE junior coaching session for under-16s at 11.30am, before Lions start things off by facing Team USA Select in the tournament opener.

The Lions then take on the Leopards later that evening before taking on the Vipers on Sunday ahead of the medal games to conclude the tournament.
