The return to Tyneside of the popular and dynamic Rahmon Fletcher has proven a masterstroke for Esh Group Eagles Newcastle.
Their star playmaker has made an instant impact and this has been underlined by the player simply known as ‘Fletch’ landing the first Molten BBL Player of the Month award of the season.
The former two-time BBL MVP was the centrepiece of the Eagles’ red-hot and perfect start to the 2018-19 campaign which witnessed them post a 5-0 record in the BBL Championship through September/October.
Fletcher was on fire, handing out a jaw-dropping 13 assists per outing. That mind-blowing number meant he averaged a season double-double having also contributed 15.8 points per game. The guard also racked up an average of 3 rebounds and 1.8 steals.
Fletcher fought off strong competition from Donte Nicholas and Brandon Peel to seal the award.
