It’s an awards double for London Lions after standout forward Brandon Peel was named Molten BBL Player of the Month for April.
The accolade follows hot on the heels of Vince Macaulay scooping the Molten BBL Coach of the Month gong yesterday.
Peel has been a driving force behind Lions writing a new chapter in their history with a best-ever BBL Championship placing – jumping into the runners-up slot to record a new high tide mark.
Peel has certainly enjoyed an exceptional rookie campaign in the league and finished powerfully with some superb displays down the Regular Season stretch.
He was one of only three players to claim a monthly double-double after harvesting an impressive 15.4 points and 11.8 rebounds per game – shooting an eye-catching 67% from the floor.
Also appearing in the top five during the month for both steals and blocks with 2 and 1.3 per outing respectively, it underlined how Peel did the business at both ends of the floor for his team.
