Riders streak ends, Rocks rack up triple digit score

It was another night of big results in the BBL Friday night as Rocks racked up a triple digit score whilst Riders’ winning streak came to an end.

In what was arguably their biggest challenge of the season so far, Leicester Riders were keen to keep their short but undefeated streak alive on home soil, having gone 3-0 in the first couple weeks of the BBL season. But that hope wouldn’t come to fruition as the home side fell 86-94 against the Toon side.

Eagles mainstay Rahmon Fletcher led his team to victory, picking up 28 points and nine assists, and he was backed by a double-double from newbie John Mitchell, racking up 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Up North, Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks and Manchester Giants clashed for the second time in three weeks, and again it was Rocks who emerged victorious, 107-85, leaving Manchester yet to pick up their first win of the season.
