Radisson RED Glasgow Rocks have bolstered their outside game by bringing back Tadas Rinkunas ahead of the 2019-20 BBL Season.
The Lithuanian sniper who has spent time in France & Spain as well as his native Lithuania before joining the Rocks towards the end of 2018, is the sixth returning player for Vincent Lavandier’s side.
And as one of the leading scorers from the bench last season, the Kaunas native hopes his sharpshooting allows the Glasgow side to build upon the strong finish to last season.
Rinkunas said: “I’m happy to be back. It will be way easier this year, because I know the coach, players and staff. I hope the fans support us as great as last season and we win as much as possible.”
Coach Lavandier added: “Sometimes, the recruitment seems finished but not really. Today, we had the opportunity to conclude the return of Tadas among the Rocks. We know his experience, his qualities, his skill, the intensity he puts in daily.
“I am satisfied with his desire to return. I’m happy to be able to coach him for an entire season and offer this return to Rock fans.
“With his return, I find six players of the previous season and also Maxime who knows my basketball affinities.”
The Rocks tip off their pre-season at home to UK Armed Forces & USA Select before heading on the road to the Cheshire Tournament.
