Glasgow Rocks are proud to announce that versatile big man, Will Hall, has signed for the club and will be returning to don the club’s jersey for the remainder of the 2017-18 BBL season.
Hall, who has been playing for London Lions, will make his return to Glasgow after playing for the club during the 2015-16 season, when he averaged 12.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
Hall was a crowd favourite and the Rocks were always hopeful they could welcome his return one day.
General Manager, Daniel Bajwoluk commented: “Will has always been on our radar, especially after his excellent season with us back in 2015-16.
“He is a versatile big man that can do a little bit of everything on the floor, but most importantly he has a very high basketball IQ and will mix well with the group of guys we currently have on the roster.
“Crucially, he will also be available to us during the Commonwealth Games period and plug a hole in the forward spot when [Kieron] Achara and [Alasdair] Fraser leave for Australia.
“We are excited to have Will in Glasgow and I am sure I won’t be the only one pleased to see Will back in a Rocks jersey this season.”
The front court for the Rocks will now consist of 3 British players in Achara, Fraser and Hall. All three have GB experience, great versatility and a phenomenal understanding of the game.
Hall himself added: “I’m really happy to be joining Glasgow for the rest of the season. I had a great time up there a couple of seasons ago and I’m looking forward to returning.
“I’ll bring the same reckless enthusiasm as always and will do what I can to help the great group of players the team already has. I hope the fans will be happy to have me back.”
The first chance to see Hall back in a Rocks jersey will be at the Rocks vs Scotland National team friendly fixture on the 4th March prior to the BBL Trophy Final at the Emirates Arena.
Rocks will be back in BBL Championship action on the 11th March when they take on Cheshire Phoenix at the Emirates Arena. Tickets available for both contests via the Rocks website www.glasgowrocks.co.uk
