Glasgow Rocks last night revealed Scottish sensation Fraser Malcolm will be re-joining the club for the 2021-22 season following him signing a one-year contract extension.
Malcolm, now 25-years-old, will enter his third season with Rocks and has shown consistent growth over those years since joining from Black Hills State University in 2019. Indeed, he finished the season with an impressive 13.6 points per game average over his last five games.
“It’s important for us to keep a strong Scottish core throughout the team,” said Coach Gareth Murray. “It’s our identity.
“Fraser is developing each year with particular improvement in his pick & roll and ball handling. I can see him being an important & versatile player in this league.
“He has had two tough years to begin his professional career. Initially with low minutes and then thrown into the deep end with an inexperienced roster last year.
“He will be a vital piece to the team and I am looking for him to continue to improve on both ends of the court.”
Malcolm is the fourth signing of the season after Coach Murray also re-signed Boban Jacdonmi and signed Americans Jaycee Hillsman and Jordan Johnson.
